Tierra Grande and TSAC Recreational pools are now closed for the Fall/Winter season.

Both pools reopening sometime in April 2020.

Summer Greetings,
Your Talega Board, Management and Staff are fielding questions regarding the removal of healthy vegetation from the slopes around Talega and thought we could better communicate what is taking place to all the residents.
The removal of the vegetation is part of a multi-year program to ensure that Talega is, and can cost effectively remain, compliant with the Fuel Modification requirements that were imposed by the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) upon the developers and builders.
The material planted by the developers was compliant with the standards at that time, however the spacing of the plant material was not.  Additionally, the cost to maintain the plant material at the maximum height mandates was not allowed for in the developer budgets.
Trimming the material down to the proper height would kill a majority of the plants, and those that survived the severe pruning would not be able to be cost effectively maintained.
The Board has budgeted for both the removal and replanting of the slopes and Management is working with an ad hoc committee between OCFA and the Master Planned communities in Orange County on the master list of plant materials that meet OCFA needs as well as the needs of the HOAs.
Talega will begin replanting in the fall, at the conclusion of the hot-dry season.


Talega offers many resort style amenities. There are 2 lap pools (heated year round), 2 recreation pools (seasonal), 19 miles of hiking trails, programs, clubs, special events, a sport court, a sand volleyball court, tot lots and so much more!

The Recreation/Resort Pool is open and heated April- October.
The Lap Pool is open and heated year round.
The Saluda Pool is open and heated year round.
