Talega Maintenance Corporation
Board of Directors
September 30, 2022
The Talega Board of Directors acknowledges the concerns expressed by the homeowners regarding the recent burglaries in Talega. The Board and Management have actively engaged City Council Members and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in coordinating the recent “Town Hall” meeting at Vista Del Mar elementary school. (A copy of the presentation can be found at www.talegatoday.com)
Management has provided many hours of support to the Sheriff’s Investigators working these cases.
The Board is exploring prudent and fiscally responsible opportunities to better support the efforts of the Sheriff’s Department. They are securing additional community patrols per the CC&Rs, Article XIII, Section 13.2 these patrols are not intended to, nor can or will they provide security for persons or property within the Association. These patrols will observe and report all suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s dispatch.
The Board is comprised of homeowner volunteers from the community who support and laud the passionate efforts of their neighbors to maintain our community. The Board does not want to stifle the efforts of any homeowners who wish to take action individually or as a group. Homeowners who choose to hire private security are reminded that they are responsible for their actions and those of their guests and contractors.
The Talega Board and Management will continue to work closely with the City and Sheriff’s Department to address this current problem.
