UPDATE: During the search last night, one suspect was caught by deputies and one non-compliant suspect was taken into custody with the assistance of a K9. Investigations responded, and the investigation is ongoing to identify two additional suspects who fled from the vehicle. Thank you to the community for your patience during the search. Tips for home security measures can be found here- https://www.ocsheriff.gov/.../stay-safe-oc/property-crimes This evening, deputies patrolling in Talega identified a suspicious vehicle believed to be connected to recent residential burglaries. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle and the vehicle failed to yield. A short pursuit ended when the vehicle collided with a center median near La Pata and Calle Saluda. Three people fled from the vehicle. One has been detained and deputies and Duke are searching for the other two. Burglary tools and possible stolen property have been recovered from the vehicle.
