Wine & Design

Master your exterior architectural submittal like a pro! Join us on Monday, December 16th at 4 PM for Wine and Design, where we blend fine wine with a deep dive into Talega’s architectural guidelines, answer your questions and demystify the review process no matter what stage your project is at.

Safety Page

The holiday season is a time of joy and celebration in Talega, but it’s also a time to remain mindful of safety. With increased foot traffic, decorations, and deliveries, there are unique challenges that arise in a community like Talega. The safety page highlights important information about neighborhood safety, home safety, vehicle safety, wildfires, and earthquakes. Check it out on the TalegaToday community website! Out of Town Guests Coming for the Holidays?

As a reminder, no vehicles may be parked on the TMC property streets between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. (early morning hours) seven days a week without a safelist. Parking is enforced in Talega by Patrol One. You can contact them directly at (949) 367-8055 or www.patrol-one.com to safelist a vehicle for up to 14 nights within a 30-day period. 

• You must create a safelisting profile at  www.patrol-one.com for your address to receive a temporary safelist for yourself or visitor/guest. Their license plate will act as their permit to park overnight after they receive their safelist confirmation number (and only for the dates selected). 
• You must have an Activation Code in order to create your profile. These codes were mailed out in December 2019. If you don’t know your code, contact talega@ciramail.com. 

Be sure to place the confirmation number on the windshield from the inside of the vehicle. 

If you live in a sub-association, contact your own management company to find out their particular parking rules and parking patrol vendor. Those communities would be: Carmel, Trinidad, Gallery, Verano, and Talega Village (Alassio/Santalana).

The City of San Clemente is hosting a Haunted Holidays Movie Night on Friday, December 13th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the community center at 100 N. Calle Seville, San Clemente. 

Join us for the SC Social Haunted Holidays Movie Night! Spend your Friday the 13th with a spooky night of games, prizes, food, and a showing of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas!

The City of San Clemente is hosting Sunsets with Santa on Sunday, December 15th from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the San Clemente Municipal Pier at 622 Avenida Del Mar, San Clemente, CA 92672. 

Come down to the San Clemente Pier for a FREE visit with Santa! Santa will be stationed at the end of the San Clemente Pier from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Sunday, December 15th and Sunday, December 22nd. Visits will end promptly at 5:00pm. Photography is NOT provided. Please bring your own camera.

Santa Margarita Water District Workshops

In this workshop you will learn how to:

1. Look at your yard as a mini-watershed
2. Build healthy, living soil
3. Hold rainwater on your property
4. Select local native plants that minimize water use and maximize biodiversity
5. Control your irrigation to minimize water waste

The Santa Margarita Water District is hosting a Virtual Class: Keeping Rain in the Garden (offered by MWD) on Tuesday, December 17th from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

In this workshop you will learn how to:

1. Review criteria and considerations on selecting a rainwater capture method
2. Swales and Berms  
3. Cisterns
4. Rainwater storage sizing and calculations

Talega is actively seeking volunteers to join the Design Review Committee. 

The Design Review Committee is responsible for reviewing homeowner submitted architectural revisions.

Project Update

Construction is still underway at the lower bathrooms at the Talega Swim & Athletic Club. During this time the Splash & Play will remain closed. To stay up-to-date with this project, please visit the TalegaToday community website under the “Project Updates” tab.
