Board Meeting Recap
The Talega Maintenance Corporation Board of Directors held their monthly meeting on August 8, 2023. A few highlights from the meeting include:- The Board approved the Creek Bridge Eagle Scout Project. Eagle Scout Candidate, Cayden Riesh, will construct a bridge on the Talega Trail over a stream that was created by the Prima Deschecha Landfill runoff. This bridge will allow hikers and mountain bikers to safely get across the stream.
- The Board approved to contract Outdoor Dimensions for the purchase and installation of two faux bronze monument plaques for the Alora and Sabella neighborhoods.
- The Board approved to contract with The Inspector of Elections to conduct the election proxy and ballot printing, distribution, collection and tabulation for the 2023 Board Election.
- The Board approved the replacement of the Catania North and South vehicle gate directory screens.

Cristianitos Trail Update
The litigation between Talega Maintenance Corporation (TMC) and the Developer (formerly Standard Pacific, now Lennar Homes) regarding damages to the Cristianitos Trail and storm water drainage structures within Talega has been settled. The settlement was reached a few years back, but finalizing the litigation required addressing various issues, including obtaining approvals for a modified Regional Trail Plan, transferring property titles or obtaining easements over affected areas, and releasing existing easements over parts of the trail no longer included. The County of Orange approved the modified Regional Trail and released claims and easements over the Cristianitos trail section. Talega has placed barriers and signage to prevent unauthorized vehicle access to the trail and is preparing for permanent repairs with drainage easements secured for a projected summer 2024 start. Community updates will be communicated through usual channels.

Street Parking Reminders
Dear Talega Residents,
A quick reminder about our street parking rules to ensure a pleasant community for everyone. The Talega Maintenance Corporation has arranged for patrols to monitor our streets for rule violations. Here's what you need to know: First to Fourth Violations in a Calendar Year: You'll receive a written warning notice (a ticket). Fifth Violation and Beyond and all Subsequent Violations: Your vehicle will be towed.
Notwithstanding the above, a vehicle is subject to immediate towing, without warning, if it is: - Parked within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, CA Vehicle Code 22514
- In a designated marked red zone, CA Vehicle Code 21458
- Within a designated posted fire lane sign zone, CA Vehicle Code 22500.1
- In a manner which interferes with any entrance to or exit from the Properties or any Lot of Condominium in the Properties
