On Saturday, June 27th, residents gathered at Calle Altea Park for an afternoon celebrating the everyday heroes who help keep the community safe. Families enjoyed themed hero crafts, inflatables and bounce houses, carnival games, DJ music, popcorn, snow cones, and a lemonade stand.
Residents had the opportunity to meet local first responders, learn about fire prevention, emergency preparedness with CERT, public services, and community programs, and take photos with the OCFA fire truck, Sheriff’s cruiser, and ambulance. Children were also excited to meet Spider-Gwen, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Captain Marvel, making for unforgettable photo opportunities throughout the afternoon.
