Help Shape Our Community: Easier Voting This November

Dear Homeowners,

This November, the TMC Board election will be offered through electronic voting in addition to traditional paper ballots. This change is supported by recent updates to California’s Davis‑Stirling Act (AB 2159, with changes effective January 2025) and is all about making it easier for every homeowner to have a say in decisions that affect what is, for many of us, our single biggest investment: our home.

In past elections, only about 10% of eligible members have participated and provided their votes to Delegates to cast at the annual meeting. Our hope is that this easier, more accessible process will significantly increase participation this year. With electronic voting, you can vote securely from anywhere—whether you travel often, work long hours, or simply prefer the convenience of voting from your smart phone or computer.

The electronic system is intended to protect the secrecy and integrity of your ballot, just like paper voting. You’ll log in with secure, unique credentials, your vote will be encrypted, and an independent Inspector of Elections will oversee the process and count all ballots—both electronic and paper—together.

Electronic voting is optional, and paper ballots remain available. If you have provided TMC with an email address for communications, TMC’s current Election Rules provide that you have already opted-in for electronic voting.  If you have not provided an email address and want to vote electronically, please reach out to TMC’s management team to opt-in for electronic voting.  If you prefer a paper ballot, please contact TMC’s management to formally opt-out of electronic voting.

By taking a few minutes to vote this year—electronically or by paper—you can help ensure that the TMC Board reflects the voices and priorities of the community whose homes and investments it serves.

Thank you for participating and helping strengthen our community.
