Sing is a 2016 animated musical comedy film about a koala named Buster Moon who owns a theater in a city of anthropomorphic animals. Buster is an optimist who loves his theater and will do anything to save it from financial ruin. He decides to host a singing competition with a $1,000 prize to attract crowds back to the theater, but his assistant accidentally increases the prize to millions, which spreads throughout the city. Buster and his assistant, Miss Crawl, choose their favorite acts for the final talent show, which includes a mouse, an elephant, a pig, a gorilla, and a porcupine. The movie also explores how the competition affects the contestants’ personal lives.
